Dive Against Debris

  • Students for Coral Preservation 4000 Crandon Boulevard Key Biscayne, FL, 33149 United States (map)

Dive Against Debris is a global citizen-science program run through the PADI AWARE Foundation. Its mission is simple: remove marine trash and record exactly what we find so scientists can better understand how debris affects our oceans.

On this dive, our Students for Coral Preservation team will:

  • Collect underwater debris safely and responsibly

  • Sort, measure, and identify each item we remove

  • Record all findings using official Dive Against Debris data methods

  • Submit our results so they become part of worldwide marine-conservation research

This is a hands-on conservation dive where every diver makes a direct impact on ocean health.

Below, you’ll find resources to help you understand the Dive Against Debris process, how data collection works, and what to expect during our clean-up. Please read through them before the dive so everyone feels confident and ready.

This dive is not affiliated with MCDS or MAST Academy, and is run through Students For Coral Preservation and our partners at Diver's Paradise
